Name: McTavish
Nicknames: Tavy, Tavy Cat, Mc T
Sex: Male
Color: Tabby
Born: May 4th, 2011 (1 year old)
Likes: Going outside, staying out late, tuna, boxes, other cats, purring, having his belly pet, hunting, people looking at him (he purrs right away), popping out from behind corners to scare people, sleeping, hair elastics, windows, baths, and stuffed animals (he’ll even play with stuffed animals that are bigger than him).
Dislikes: Staying inside when he doesn’t have to, staying inside when it’s raining, staying inside when…well pretty much hates staying inside if he wants to be outside! (That’s pretty much it).
Interesting Facts:
McTavish is about the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet. He’s just a regular old tabby cat with amazingly green eyes and an extra toe on both of his front paws. He tends to walk a little funny when he walks, as if he doesn’t care what he walks into. If you say “Hi! What are you doing?” in a cute, high pitched voice, he flops down onto his back to show you his belly.
He whines, meows, and climbs the screens of windows and back doors if ever there is no way out. Even though we’ve only had him for a year, he’s extremely popular in the neighborhood. Our neighbors in back have a white and grey cat (very McTavish-like) and they hang around the backyard all the time. There is also a stray orange cat that comes around. I call him McTavish’s “bad influence friend”. They stay out till all hours of the night.
One day, McTavish lost his collar. Weeks late, I came from work to see the collar back on his neck. “Where did you find it?” I asked my boyfriend, Chris. “I thought you put it back on him!” he replied. Someone, some how, some WAY put the collar back on him, knowing that it was his. We have yet to discover how and why.
We love to play games with him and he is constantly jumping out from behind doors and corners to scare us. If he could laugh while doing it, I’m sure he would.
